Inner Cam Bearing

I have heard that the late model stock inner cam
bearings tend to wear out in the range of 25,000 -
 30,000
miles. When I heard the whirring noise coming from
my engine I knew it was a worn bearing. I was able to listen to
the engine through a large screwdriver and narrow down the
source of the noise to the right side lower end of the engine.
“Wonderful” I thought! “What better excuse to switch to a
high performance cam?” Since I am not a speed demon but do
like to cruise and end up doing allot of stop and go in small
towns, I decided that a cam that would increase my torque was
just the ticket! I used an Andrews EV-27 bolt in cam and
really noticed a difference in my take offs. I would highly
suggest an inner cab bearing change if your Evolution Engine is
in the 20,000 - 30,000 mile range. While we’re in there,
Let’s change out that cam to a higher performance cam!

While you’ve got your bike here . . .
let’s do that 30K service as well!
