I got a call from a guy that owns a V-ROD and wanted an aftermarket fuel tank put on that he
had ordered. Many shops won’t install parts that were not ordered through their shop and I
generally don’t like to either, but V_ROD parts, other than stock, are hard to come by. The tank
is a 5.3 gallon tank as opposed to the 3.5 stock tank on the earlier V_RODs. I was told by a HD
dealership manager that the new ones come with the larger tank. Nonetheless, this one needed the
aftermarket tank put on. There are also not alot of mechanics that work on V_RODs either, other
than the dealerships. Well . . . I do! Here are some pictures from my install.
